Why Boards need to focus on workforce wellbeing to ensure an effective recovery from the pandemic
Presented by Susie Crowder
The overall health of the nation, before the pandemic, was already of grave concern, particularly the increasing numbers of those suffering with stress, anxiety or depression costing a staggering £34.9 billion. Fast forward two years or so and the multifaceted implications of Covid are beginning to tell a story of both the financial and human costs to businesses.
This session will explore what some organisations are doing to “build back better” factoring in the challenges of the great resignation of Q4 2021, a chronic shortage of labour across all sectors, the decline in overall wellbeing of the majority of the population and its impact on the productivity of businesses. Case studies will be given of how Boards are now changing their perception of how to attract and retain talent, and enhance their wellbeing provision at all levels to ensure a happy and healthy workforce, including provision for their Non Executive Directors and remote workers.
The session will be followed by a Q&A opportunity.
