What. On. Earth. Is. Going. On. In. Organisations?! How To Translate The Major Impacts of COVID into Winning Strategies That Reignite Human Potential, Adaptability and Creativity
8 September 2020
VENUE: HARRY BOUND ROOM LES COTILS
“In a world of unrelenting change and unprecedented challenges, we need organisations that are as bold and entrepreneurial as the change itself, and give everyone the opportunity to learn, contribute and innovate” – Gary Hamel
In this interactive workshop, business strategist Andrew Essa presents an organisational behavioural perspective and blueprint to help leaders, teams and employees to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on small and large firms, identify the big opportunities and threats to successfully rebuild with adaptability and resilience, and why most change will likely be evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
The insight is based on the REIGNITE! 2020 Report,(authored by Andrew Essa), one of the largest studies of strategic responses of Guernsey organisations to COVID-19 conducted to date. Findings from this study of 439 organisations will be presented along-side amazing local stories of entrepreneurship and innovation, employee ingenuity, adaptability, and empathetic leadership.
In this workshop, Andrew will also:
- Introduce the REIGNITE! FLYWHEEL and 5 ‘M’s’ to help leaders focus efforts and investments to reignite workforce productivity and performance
- Identify the winning strategies to turn crisis into opportunity
- Identify the new leadership styles, cultural behaviours, mindsets, and ways of working needed in this evolving landscape
Andrew also shares a perspective that COVID has produced a new set of people-centric competitive differentiators which will define the basis of industry rivalry and the employers of choice for many years to come. The organisations who address the complex forces at play and commit to rebuilding more humane, more trusting and less bureaucratic organisations will be able to unleash the potential of their talent, be more adaptable to future disruptive change, and out-perform competitors over the long-term.
