TISE Private Markets – What does it offer you and your business?

TISE Private Markets was launched by The International Stock Exchange (TISE) during 2023 to offer private companies and their shareholders a better way to buy and sell their shares.

Providing an integrated set of tailored electronic trading, settlement and registry solutions, the platform gives a company full control of their dedicated market, from onboarding shareholders to scheduling auction events and managing registers.

The first private markets client was Blue Diamond Limited, the leading garden centre group based in the UK and Channel Islands.

During this session and providing a short demonstration of the system, Cees, Robbie and Vaughn will explain how it works, the benefits to both private companies such as Blue Diamond and their shareholders, and the future development plans.

Cees Vermaas
Chief Executive Officer, The International Stock Exchange (TISE)

Cees is the CEO of The International Stock Exchange Group Limited, a position he has held since November 2020. With a strong focus on strategy, business development and infrastructure, he is responsible for all aspects of leadership and management of the Company.

Cees has more than 25 years’ experience within international financial market infrastructure. He has held senior executive positions within several international exchanges, including CEO of CME Europe Ltd, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam and Head of European Cash Markets for NYSE Euronext.

Cees holds a degree in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering from The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

Robbie Andrade
Chief Operating Officer, The International Stock Exchange (TISE)

Robbie is the Chief Operating Officer of TISE and has been with the Exchange since 2005, where he also formerly held the position of Head of Listings. He is responsible for leading and maintaining responsibility for the day to day operations of the Group and heads the Markets & Products Department, including TISE Private Markets., In addition, with a strong focus on business development, Robbie provides assistance to the Members of the Exchange, issuers and other associated parties, as well as reviewing and assisting in the analysis and work of his team.

Robbie holds a Degree in European Law from the University of Lancaster. Born in Guernsey and a naturalised citizen of Portugal, Robbie is bilingual and holds a number of management and leadership qualifications from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

Vaughn Botes
Senior Private Markets Executive, The International Stock Exchange (TISE)

Vaughn is a Senior Private Markets Executive at TISE working to deliver trading, settlement and registry solutions to private companies.

He joined the Listings team at TISE in 2021 and has since moved to the Markets & Products Department, with a particular focus on the private markets offering, TISE Private Markets.

Vaughn is a BCom graduate from the University of Pretoria and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Financial Management through the University of Manchester.
