We would like to invite you to an Investment Seminar, where leading Credit Suisse economists will provide insights into our investment strategies for 2015 and assess the risks and opportunities faced by investors during a time when markets continue to be plagued by volatility, uncertainty and surprises.

With this backdrop, we welcome once again Robert (Bob) Parker, Senior Adviser to Credit Suisse, who will provide an overview of global markets and strategy. This will be followed by a discussion on how to make these views investible with Martyn Surguy, Managing Director, who co-heads our asset management business in the UK and Channel Islands.

ROBERT PARKER
Head of the Strategic Advisory Group, Credit Suisse

Bob is Head of the Strategic Advisory Group at Credit Suisse.

He is a member of Credit Suisse’s Investment Committee and a member of the Operating Committee of the Credit Suisse Research Institute.

Bob is a member of the Advisory Boards of the European Institute and Funds Europe and is a member of the Advisory Council of the UK CFA Society. He was one of the founding members of CSFB Investment Management and from 1982 until 1994 he led and developed its foreign exchange and fixed income business.

He is a regular visitor to the Channel Islands and has been a panellist at both of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange Business Summits (in Jersey and London).

MARTYN SURGUY
Co-head of discretionary investment team in the UK and Channel Islands, Credit Suisse

Martyn is co-head of our discretionary investment team in the UK and Channel Islands.

He has 25 years in the industry and is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and is responsible as co-head for the Global Multi Asset Class Solutions business in the UK and Channel Islands. Martyn sits on the Executive Board of Credit Suisse (UK) Ltd.

Martyn Surguy joined Credit Suisse in June 2014 having previously been at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management since May 2012 where he was the Chief Investment Officer for Private Wealth Management’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Martyn spent 15 years at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, where he was responsible for EUR 12 billion in client assets, first as Chief Investment Officer of its UK unit from 1999 to 2004, then as CIO for its International (Global ex US and Germany) business between 2004 and 2009.

He was also head of UK Portfolio Management for Deutsche Bank and, was the longest serving member of its Global Investment Committee. Prior to joining Deutsche, Martyn worked for Rothschild Asset Management for seven years, managing international private client portfolios. Martyn qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1989 and is a graduate in Politics from the University of York.
