GAVIN FARRELL
Partner, Ferbrache & Farrell LLP

Gavin Farrell read law at the universities of Paris, Münster and London and qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, a French Avocat and an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey. He worked for a number of years at Simmons & Simmons in their London and Paris offices before moving to Guernsey in 1999, where he was called as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey. Gavin’s practice at F&F covers general corporate and banking work, funds and the asset management industry.

MARTIN JONES
Partner, Ferbrache & Farrell LLP

Martin specialises in complex local and international commercial litigation including trust and regulatory matters, cross-border fraud claims, multi-jurisdictional insolvency matters, asset tracing and contract and tort claims. He also has substantial experience in property, construction disputes and dealing with data protection issues. His clients have included regulated businesses and high net worth individuals and families.
He qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales (currently non-practising) in September 1999 and practised at Masons (now Pinsent Masons) and a boutique commercial litigation practice based in London before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2003. Martin relocated to Guernsey late in 2006. Martin was admitted as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey in 2012. Martin also regularly presents external and internal conferences and seminars and produces articles and briefings on various topics and issues of interest.
Martin is a member of INSOL, an associate member of STEP and an overseas member of the Chancery Bar Association.

ROBERT BRECKON
Counsel & Advocate, Ferbrache & Farrell LLP

Robert is an Advocate and Counsel in the dispute resolution department.
Robert’s practice deals with all aspects of local and international commercial litigation, including trust-related disputes, professional negligence related matters, contract and tort-based claims in addition to contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Robert has a keen interest in regulatory matters; he regularly advises companies and directors in relation to investigations brought by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and other regulatory bodies.
