SPEAKERS

Matt Palmer
Senior Director, Cyber Risk Solutions

Matt Palmer is the Senior Director of Cyber Risk Management at Willis Towers Watson. An experienced global CISO, Matt began his career at KPMG before setting up his own web app development business. He then took this experience into financial services, leading global security functions across retail banking, fund administration, alternative investments, private equity and insurance

He joined Willis Towers Watson as Chief Information Security Officer in 2014, guiding the company through a major security transformation and a merger before moving to a new role leading development of the company’s cyber risk management solutions. Matt founded and chaired the Channel Islands Information Security Forum, and is a former NHS Trust Governor, City Councillor, and non-executive director.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Practitioner (CISSP), a Member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals, the Institute of Directors, and the Chartered Institute for IT.

Matt was awarded Security Leader of the Year in Britain’s Tech Leaders Awards in 2018.

Chris Jackson
Director, Global Head of FINEX FI Middle Market, FINEX Financial Institutions

Chris is an Executive Director of FINEX Financial Institutions and heads up the Financial Institutions team in Ipswich. He joined Willis Towers Watson in April 2006. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Chris worked for a rival broker for 26 years moving across to specialise in Financial Institutions in 1997. Chris was responsible for servicing and advising on the requirements of existing clients and in developing a book of clients in the alternative sector specifically hedge funds.

Prior to dealing with Financial Institutions, Chris headed the Medical Division responsible for placement of insurances for private hospitals on a UK-wide basis and was part of the team which successfully tendered for the high profile NHS Trusts in 1992 (during their first wave of purchasing Commercial insurance).
Chris is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
