Current boards are arguably in the best position to help shape future boards. As today’s leaders we can demonstrate true leadership for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Board Apprentice Limited aims to bring existing UK, Guernsey and Jersey company boards together with aspiring NEDS. It is a simple concept that has proven successful in many other areas. By providing hands-on board experience to suitable individuals, boards can help prepare Guernsey and its companies for the future by taking this small simple step.

Who should attend this workshop?
• Aspiring NEDS wishing to become apprentices.
• Existing board members who may wish to utilise the apprenticeship programme within their existing boards.

SPEAKERS

PAULA WILLIAMS
GTA University Centre

Paula joined the GTA from the finance industry after she moved to Guernsey from New Zealand in 2012. As Programmes Manager, her primary responsibilities at the GTA include developing learning and development opportunities for the Finance and Law sectors. Paula brings over 10 years of experience of developing and delivering both professional and education-based programmes. She completed an MBA through Henley Business School in the UK and gained a Diploma in Tertiary Teaching in New Zealand.

LIESEL LINDSAY
GTA University Centre

Liesel brings a wealth of financial industry experience to the GTA having worked in areas such as securities settlements, trust and company administration, investment funds and compliance. In managing key qualifications such as the IOD Company Direction Programme, Director Development and Board Apprentice, Liesel is able to offer advice on a wide range of client needs. Her role at the GTA focuses on the Finance and Law sectors. Liesel holds a Law Degree from King’s College London and a Diploma in German Law from Passau University, Germany. She has also completed her International Diploma in Compliance with Distinction.
