Giles has 33 years experience of financial services and is currently Chairman of London Capital Group PLC. Past roles include NED of Collins Stewart PLC, Chairman of CQS Management, CEO of Greig Middleton & Co Ltd and main board director of the London Stock Exchange.

CHARLES PALMER
Senior Managing Director & TMT team Co-Head, FTI Consulting

Charles Palmer is a senior managing director in the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting based in London and he is co-head of the Technology, Media and Telecoms practice.

Mr Palmer provides communications advice to a broad range of both UK and international companies. He has 19 years’ experience and has been with the group for 14 years.

Mr. Palmer has advised numerous listed and private companies and his client experience includes Aegis, blinkx, Chrysalis, CINVEN, Euromoney, DST, Monitise, Future, ITE, Informa, JCDecaux, Mail.ru, Micro Focus, Nasdaq OMX, Phoenix IT, VimpelCom and YouGov.

Transaction experience includes Mail.ru’s IPO, Liberty Acquisitions’ refinancing of Prisa, the IPO of Justice Holdings and VimpelCom’s acquisition of WIND. Mr. Palmer has advised on a wide range of IPOs, large and small, many of which have required defining a new market to the financial community.

He has also worked on a number of major international transactions; advising ABN AMRO in its €71 billion sale to a consortium of banks led by Royal Bank of Scotland and OMX during its merger with Nasdaq.

He was Chairman of F&C Asset Management and a NED of Fuller, Smith&Turner PLC. He was finance director of Schroders PLC, where he worked from 1971 to 2002.

MATTHEW HUDSON
Chairman, MJ Hudson

A leading private equity and alternative assets law firm. He is the author of ‘Funds: Private Equity, Hedge and all other core structures’. He founded 4 alternative asset law offices in his career including those for SJ Berwin and Proskauer. He also worked as a private equity investor for Credit Suisse and Coller Capital.
