An independent board is a feature that sets investment companies apart from their competitors in the funds world and is one of its greatest assets. However, with the rapid pace of change within financial services, and the current focus on board diversity of all types, it is more important than ever to ensure a strong pipeline of candidates with a range of relevant skills and experience willing to take on non-executive positions.
The session is aimed at senior individuals who might be considering a non-executive role at some point over the next few years, but currently have little or no previous experience of the investment company sector and what a non-executive role would involve.
